The COVID-19 virus, due to its global spread, has not only changed our world but also put us in urgent need to solve a whole range of extremely complex problems related to continuing postgraduate education. That is why during the global lockdown and quarantine, online conferences have gained a completely new level of significance for professional communication and knowledge exchange.
Thanks to modern digital services, you can actually communicate with colleagues in the "live dialogue" mode. However, an increasing number of conferences tend to conduct their format in a "hybrid" mode, which, of course, increases the level of perception of information by participants. Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Shupyk National Healthcare University also uses similar forms of training and actively participates in such conferences organized by colleagues.
On 30 September - 1 October the staff of the Department took part in the V International Symposium "New Horizons of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care of Critical Conditions and Pain Treatment", which was held in Dnipro in "hybrid" mode. The forum was organized by Dnipro State Medical University (Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care), the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), the Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine and the Association of Anesthesiologists of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The symposium was attended by 3 employees of the Department. The head of the Department, Professor Oleg Loskutov presented the participants with modern concepts of inhalation anesthesia, and introduced the latest anesthesia and breathing equipment, presented his videos from the operating room. The report of Associate Professor Dmytro Dzyuba was devoted to modern aspects of the work of an anesthesiologist in the X-ray operating room, and associate professor Maksym Pylypenko introduced promising methods of anesthetic support for long-term planned neurosurgical interventions.
As the organizer of the conference, Professor Yuriy Kobylyatsky noted that the participation of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University was significant for the symposium and further cooperation will be useful for the development of postgraduate education and improving the professional level of anesthesiologists and intensive care doctors in Ukraine.
