The future potential of Ukrainian science forms today. That is why a university education and science are the defining links in the innovative development of society. And it will be based on today's PhD students.

Adhering to this opinion, the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care tries to create a favorable scientific environment for young professionals who, along with practical activities, also want to engage in scientific developments.

So, on December 20, 2021, the result of regular scientific research was the successful defense of dissertations by PhD students of the department: Volodymyr Kolesnikov, Tayisiya Danchyna and Oleksiy Furkalo.

In the works of these young scientists, problematic issues of cardiac anesthesiology were considered ("Features of anesthetic support for patients with concomitant arterial hypertension when performing operations of coronary artery bypass grafting in conditions of artificial circulation", performed by V. Kolesnikov, scientific supervisor – Professor O. Loskutov), new methods of anesthesia ("Multimodal low-opioid anesthesia in cardiosurgical patients during coronary artery bypass grafting in conditions of artificial circulation", performed by T. Danchyna, scientific supervisor – Professor O. Loskutov) and intensive care of acute coronary syndrome ("Intensive care of emergency conditions in endovascular revascularization of the myocardium in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome", performed by O. Furkalo, scientific supervisor – Professor O. Loskutov).

Official opponents and reviewers of the listed dissertations noted the relevance and quality of scientific research and wished the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine to continue working on initiative scientific developments.
