The European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) occupies the most prominent position among anesthesiologists and intensive care specialists in Europe and other countries.
ESAIC was created as a result of the merger of the former European Society of Anaesthesiologists (ESA), the European Academy of Anaesthesiology (EAA), and the Confederation of European National Societies of Anaesthesiologists (CENSA) and holds the most prominent position in the community of anaesthesiologists in Europe and other countries. The main goal of this society is to achieve the highest standards of practice and safety in anesthesia, perioperative medicine, intensive care, emergency medicine, and pain management through education, research, and professional development throughout Europe.
This society annually holds one of the most significant forums on anesthesiology and intensive care Euroanesthesia Congress.
A special feature of the Congress, which took place at the end of December 2021, was that out of 10 reports accepted from Ukrainian scientists, 4 presentations were from the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
These reports were prepared by teachers of the Department (Professor Oleg Loskutov, Professor Oleksandr Druzhyna, Professor Dmytro Dziuba, Associate Professor Mykhailo Bondar) together with PhD students of the Department (Anna Masudi, Stepan Marunyak, Tetiana Ovsienko).
This success is evidence of recognition of the scientific developments of the Department and the significant scientific potential of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
