The International Cooperation Department was established to strengthen the international activities of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine aimed at integration into the European and global educational space, primarily through systematic participation in the development and implementation of international educational, scientific, medical and humanitarian programs, development of cooperation with leading foreign higher education institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations, educational associations and foundations, as well as increasing international appeal of the University.
The International Cooperation Department is a structural division of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
Since December 1, 2022, the training of foreigners is supervised by it. More detailed information is in the section "Organization of Training of Foreigners".

History of the Department
The Department of International Relations and Scientific and Pedagogical Work with Foreign Nationals was created in 1993 due to intensive development of relations between independent Ukraine and University and foreign countries.
Pursuant to decision of the Scientific Board of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education from 14.11.2018 (protocol No.09) and in order to restructure the Academy units, the International Relations Department was renamed into the International Cooperation Department.
On January 1, 2023, the International Cooperation Department was renamed into the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Student Affairs due to the liquidation of the Dean's Office for Foreign Student Affairs, whose main tasks were organizational and other issues related to training of foreigners at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine and assignment of responsibilities of the Dean's Office to the International Cooperation Department.
The main tasks of the Department are aimed at sharing innovations and best practices in medical science and education; ensuring academic mobility, recognizing scientific achievements of the University at the international level, increasing competitiveness, as well as integrating into the world and European education system.
One of the tasks of the Department is also organization of training for foreign students at the University departments.
