On November 18, 2022, thanks to the personal contacts of the head of the Department of General and Emergency Surgery at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, the director of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 6 Vadym Kryzhevskyi and the essential help of the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychka and the Department of Health, surgical instruments, medical products and equipment for the treatment of the soldiers and servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were received.
The delegation of the Brussels City Hall, represented by Mrs. Marie-France Bott, Mr. Frederic Laffon, handed over the charitable aid to the hospital in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Ukraine Peter Van De Velde and the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Mr. Mykola Yuriyovch Povoroznyk and the Director of the Department of Health Care of the KMDA, Ms. Ginzburg Valentyna Hryhorivna, professors and doctors of the department, administration and employees of the Hospital No. 6.
The hospital received the necessary equipment and tools for operative and conservative treatment: forehead illuminators, magnifying lenses, ultrasonic cavitator "Soring" for the treatment of purulent wounds, a lift for soft transportation of seriously ill patients, soft mattresses, heating chambers for burn patients and other means.
Distinguished European guests visited the department of reconstructive and plastic surgery and the department of rehabilitation, where defenders who need to restore the functions of organs and systems, as well as improve the aesthetic appearance of injured body parts, are treated. The guests expressed warm words of support for Ukraine in the difficult struggle against enemy invaders, and also confirmed their desire and intentions to continue helping to our hospital. In his speech, the ambassador expressed confidence in the victory of Ukraine and the support of our state by European countries in our fighting for freedom
Director of the hospital Professor Kryzhevskyi V.V. expressed gratitude to the Belgian people and presented commemorative gifts and national souvenirs to the members of the delegation.
