This was announced by the Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Oleksandr Duda on 1+1 TV channel.
‘Today, there are cases of COVID-19 in Kyiv. But compared to the summer, they have halved. In August, there were about 90-100 cases, while now we see a smaller number,’ said Oleksandr Duda.
He explained that after vaccination, the number of antibodies in people's blood increased, and secondly, the virus changed during this time. According to the scientist, on average, the virus mutates once every two weeks.
‘If the virus did not change, it would not survive in the environment,’ the professor said.
In his opinion, the COVID-19 virus has signs of artificial origin, which is why fighting the disease has been so difficult.
