We are pleased to announce that the scientific article of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine “Cardiometabolic Disorders in A Pregnant Woman with Severe Preeclampsia on the Background of Morbid Obesity (Case Report)” was published in the authoritative American journal Clinical Cardiology and Cardiovascular Interventions (Impact Factor: 3.89).

The publication presents a unique clinical case of management of a pregnant woman with morbid obesity (BMI ≥ 50 kg/m², in this particular case BMI - 61.2, and the body weight of the pregnant woman with cardiometabolic disorders was 164 kg. ) and severe preeclampsia. The authors emphasize the effectiveness of supraumbilical laparotomy and fundal cesarean section as the optimal method of delivery in patients of this profile.

A separate section of the work is devoted to modern medical and technical support for the prevention of peripartum complications - in particular, the use of a radio wave scalpel and argon-plasma coagulation.
