An important component of the continuing professional training of physicians is the participation in lecture days and seminars, which discuss the latest recommendations of current international guidelines.

Unfortunately, in the regions of Ukraine where there are no medical universities, the possibility of holding such conferences is limited. In order to eliminate this gap is appropriate on-site conference of experts from national universities and academies.

In order to discuss contemporary problems of anesthesiology and intensive care, on November 14-15, the staff of the department of anesthesiology and intensive care of the NMAPE named after PL Shupyk conducted on-site seminars in Cherkasy and Kirovograd regions.

During the seminars, the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Professor Oleg Loskutov, outlined modern approaches to procedural and intraoperative sedation in patients in intensive care units, and shared his own experience of multimodal low-opioid anesthesia. Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Alexander Galushko raised the topic of recent guidelines for the treatment of acute disorders of cerebral circulation and shared the experience of the department of management and intensive care of this complex category of patients.

During the seminars the modern strategy and tactics of treatment of myocardial infarction, hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases, discussion of problems of infusion therapy of urgent conditions were actively discussed. In total, about 120 doctors of various specialties participated in the lectures and discussions during the seminars: anesthesiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, family doctors, etc.

At the end of the event, a resolution was adopted on the need to actively exchange experience regarding the introduction of standards of care in accordance with current international clinical guidelines and the advisability of regular lectures and seminars for physicians in regions where there are no universities of their own, with specialists of the departments of the NMAPE named after PL Shupyk.
