Since 2016, the Department of Foreign Languages has been conducting the “Upper Intermediate English” course for PhD students of the Academy. The classes are given by Assistant Professors L. Palei, L. Mykhailenko and T. Pylyp. The teachers apply various techniques which make it possible the lessons both to enhance theoretical knowledge and activate practical language skills. The course content is outfitted with modern learning technologies as they wield major influence on learning outcomes.
The program consists of 240 academic hours, 200 of which are focused on mastering English in class, and 40 hours for self-studying. The PhD students are divided into 5 groups with 6-8 people in each group.
The final stage of the “Upper Intermediate English” course of study is the exam, which will be held from January, 13 to January, 16 at the Department of Foreign Languages.
