With the beginning of the unprovoked, bloody and vile war and the occupation of Ukraine by russian troops, the life of all compatriots has changed. According to the order of the Rector scientific and pedagogical staff of the Ophthalmology Department Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine conducts online classes with interns, graduate students, students.

The forced relocation in Ukraine and cooperation with medical institutions obliges us to work with full professional efficiency as volunteer ophthalmologists.

Seven medical institutions have become our temporary clinical bases, where we provide assistance from primary care to highly specialized care. During this time, we have conducted about 2.5 thousands examinations and consultations, 235 operations for warriors of the Armed Forces, territorial defense, soldiers of volunteer battalions, temporary migrants, local residents. Our homes are Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Uzhgorod. There are three clinical bases in Kyiv, where our teachers, lectures and interns work 24/7.
