Head of the department D.Med.Sc., Professor Oleh Zharinov.
After graduating from Lviv Medical Institute O.Zharinov studied as clinical and research fellow at the Cardiology Research Centre in Moscow where he defended his doctorate. In 1992-1996 – Assistant of the Internal Medicine Department, Lviv State Medical Institute. In 1996 he defended the habilitation work on arrhythmogenic influence of left ventricular dysfunction. Since 1997 р. – Docent, since 2001 – Professor of Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics Department of National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Since 2014 – Head of the Department of Functional Diagnostics.
Supervisor of one doctor and 16 candidates of medical sciences. Deputy editor-in-chief, “Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiology”, Head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Arrhythmology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Author and editor of the national textbook «Functional Diagnostics» (two editions), monographies and textbooks «Ventricular arrhythmias», «Holter and fragment ECG monitoring », «Ambulatory ECG monitoring », «Exercise tests in cardiology», «Atrial fibrillation», «Аrterial hypertension and cardiovascular risk», «Fundamentals of electrocardiography» (four editions), «Practicum in electrocardiography» (two editions), «Electrocardiography for family physician», in total – more than 650 publications. Initiator and moderator of the conferences “Functional Diagnostics of Cardiovascular Diseases” and “Days of Arrhythmology in Kyiv”. He has a higher qualification category in cardiology and functional diagnostics.

Graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1975. In 1982 he defended the doctorate thesis. Works at the department since, docent – since 1992. Directions of scientific and educational work: ECG, stable ischemic heart disease, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders. Docent Kuts has 160 publications. He is an author and editor of the national textbook «Functional diagnostics», textbooks «Holter and fragment ECG monitoring », «Ambulatory ECG monitoring », «Exercise tests in cardiology», «Fundamentals of electrocardiography» (four editions), «Practicum in electrocardiography» (two editions), «Electrocardiography for family physician». Hanna Verezhnikova graduated from the Pirogov Russian State Medical University, Moscow, in 1992. She worked as a cardiologist in practical medicine from 1992 to 1998. She completed a cardiology clinical residency in 2000 and postgraduate fellowship at Kiev Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in 2003. In 2004 she defended Ph.D. in Cardiology.
Hanna Verezhnikova worked as assistant at Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics Department from 2003 to 2014. Since 2014, she has been working at the Functional Diagnostics Department, since 2015 - as the Associate Professor. She is an author of 51 publications on different topics of cardiology and functional diagnostics.
Hanna Verezhnikova is a higher category cardiologist and she has the first category as a functional diagnostics physician.

In 2000 she defended a qualification work for the degree of a candidate of medical sciences "Diphtheria myocarditis: clinical course, functional state of myocardium and consequences." Worked as an assistant and associate professor at the Department of Internal Medicine №2 of the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. Docent degree was awarded in 2016. Since 2016 - Associate Professor of the Department of Functional Diagnostics, cardiologist at the Institute of Heart of the Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine. Has a higher qualification category in the speciality "cardiology" since 2007, passed specialization in functional diagnostics. Author of 69 scientific works, including sections of the textbook "Functional diagnostics" and the textbook "Fundamentals of electrocardiography". Sphere of scientific interests: venous thromboembolism, diagnosis and treatment of various variants of pulmonary hypertension, course and treatment of chronic heart failure in coronary and non-coronary myocardial diseases. Speaker at different scientific conferences and teaching seminars.

Graduated from the Horbachevsky Ternopil Medical University in 2000. Underwent research fellowship at the Department of Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics, in 2007 defended Ph.D. thesis "Features of the structural and functional state of the myocardium in patients with persistent and persistent forms of atrial fibrillation." Since 2006 - assistant of the Department of Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics, since 2014 - Assistant of the Department of Functional Diagnostics. She has published 45 works, including 21 articles in specialized editions. Sphere of scientific interests: Holter ECG monitoring, event ECG monitoring, daily blood pressure monitoring, acute coronary syndromes. Has higher qualification category in cardiology and second – in functional diagnostics.

Ivanyuk N.B. graduated from O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. In 2013-2016 she worked as a cardiologist of the consultative-diagnostic polyclinic department №1 for adults of the Institute of Heart, Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine. In 2016-2018 she worked as a research fellow at the Institute of Heart. In 2017 defended Ph.D. thesis "Predictors for improvement of left ventricular systolic function and quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure after myocardial revascularization". Since June 2018 - Assistant of the Department of Functional Diagnostics of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. Author and co-author of 15 publications.
