On December 10, 2022, the Parliament of Portugal has discussed the topical issue of creating a separate emergency medicine specialty.
At the meeting together with the parliamentarians were present the representatives of the European specialized associations for emergency medical care (EUSEM, SEMES, INEM), who spoke in support of the creation of this specialty.
On behalf of Ukraine was invited the head of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine prof. Volosovets Anton. He has presented the speech that was based on the experience of Ukraine and emphasized the importance of this specialty for saving human lives and ensuring the maximum safety of the population in cases of emergencies, disasters and wars.
