In January 2023 was published the 5th edition of the textbook «Emergency Medicine. Emergency medical care» edited by Professor Ivan Zozulia and Professor Anton Volosovets.
This textbook contains all the main sections devoted to emergency conditions known to medical science and occurring in practice with various diseases.
The fifth edition includes new chapters on emergency situations in neonatology, modern aspects of the organisation and functioning of the emergency medical care system in emergency situations. New methods, procedures and technologies in the diagnosis and provision of emergency medical care in surgery, cardiology, neurology, dentistry, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, traumatology, burns, poisoning, ophthalmology and phthisiology, paediatrics are highlighted. In accordance with the requirements of evidence-based medicine, the aetiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of various nosological diseases in the pre-hospital and early hospital stages have been modernised. Modern drugs are included.
