Associate Professor of the Dpt. of Disaster Medicine and Military Medical Training of the Faculty of Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, Dr Slychko Ivan Y., has arrived from the assigned trip to the military zone where he was working as a surgeon for 38 days in the team of medical voluntaries in the mobile hospital and was providing medical help to wounded soldiers of ZSU.  

On the 31-May-2023 departmental meeting he shared with the colleagues his experience providing medical care in the military zone (first medical help), tactics used, and conditions of the settlement/ equipment and resources that the mobile hospital had at the front line. 

On the 01-Jun-2023 Dr. Slychko made a presentation on the same topic during scientific conference with international participants “Actual topics of the emergency medicine” held by the department.

Dr Slychko has highlighted that surgeons’ work in mobile hospitals near front line (7-10 km from actual military actions), is one of the main, innovative, and improved links in the whole chain of treatment-evacuation path for injured soldiers and it reduces time getting qualified medical care for severe injuries and improve further results of the treatment.
