On October 5 and 6, the plenum of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine (AAGU) and a scientific and practical conference with international participation "Obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive medicine: present and prospects" took place in Uzhhorod. The co-chairs of the conference were the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, the president of NAMNU, academician Vitaly Tsimbalyuk, the president of the NGO "AAGU", academician Valery Zaporozhan.

The Rector of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine Academician Vʼyacheslav Kaminsky addressed the participants of the conference with welcoming words. Foreign speakers also took part in the conference, including prof. Philippe Decamp, vice-president of FIGO (International Federation of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, France), and prof. Frank Loewen, elected president of EBCOG (European Council and College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Germany).

Prof. Oleg Golyanovskyi presented the report "Modern aspects of the therapy of massive obstetric bleeding according to the DCR concept", which was delivered by the group of authors of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. Postgraduate students of the department also gave presentations at the conference: Frolov S.V., Golenya I.M., Suprunyuk K.V. on current topics of obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, Prof. Oleg Golyanovsky conducted a master class on the topic "Prevention of massive blood loss against the background of PAS (placenta accreta spectrum)". The reports and the master class aroused the interest and lively discussion of all the participants of the scientific and practical conference.
