Department of Cardiology, at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine continues to organize free classes on Saturdays for doctors from all over Ukraine. The cardiological event held on December 9 was particularly interesting for cardiologists, therapists, and family doctors.

The purpose of such a meeting is to create an atmosphere of active exchange of clinical experience and deepening the knowledge of doctors, based on international recommendations that can help improve practice.

The lecture began with a presentation by Ph.D., Senior Researcher of the Heart Failure Department of the SI "NSC "Institute of Cardiology named after Academician M.D. Strazhesko" Natalia Tkach on "Combined diuretic therapy in patients with heart failure: who, when, and how." The possibilities for treating chronic heart failure (CHF) are amazing today. There is a rich choice of drugs, but also high prices. Are there differences in cardiovascular and overall mortality rates among this group? MD, Professor, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine 1 and Simulation Medicine  at Zaporizhzhia State Medical University Dmitry Lashkul provided the doctors with comprehensive answers.

And how to treat CHF within the capabilities provided by the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU)? The report of Associate Professor of the Department of Modern Technologies of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment at Bogomolets National Medical University Yevheniia Andriieva was dedicated to solving this issue: "Current Issues in Managing a Patient with CHF." Using the evidence base of studies, the speaker proved that "folk" ACE inhibitors remain in the medical arsenal.
