At the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1, the active training of interns in the II year of study continues both in theoretical issues of obstetrics and gynecology, and in practical clinical work in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic.

Thus, on January 19, 2024, a scheduled caesarean section was performed on a pregnant M., 46 years old, at the main clinical base of the department - the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center. from the high-risk group (fertilization through assisted reproductive technologies) with the direct participation of interns in assisting with this abdominal delivery. Before the surgical intervention, the interns were familiarized with the history of pregnancy, ultrasound examination, laboratory indicators; determined the indications for a cesarean section and told about the main stages of the procedure of the operation. 

Direct participation in abdominal delivery allowed intern doctors under the leadership of the head. department, prof. Golyanovsky O.V. (surgeon) to clarify the practical aspects of modern methods of performing this surgical intervention, prevention of complications, minimization of blood loss with the use of modern suture material and technical support (radio-wave scalpel, argon-plasma tissue coagulation). The caesarean section operation was successful: a live full-term boy m-3400.0 was born; length - 52 cm on the Apgar scale 8-9 points; there were no complications during the operation, the total blood loss was 350.0 ml. The course of the postpartum period was also without complications.

Операція кесарева розтину пройшла успішно: народився живий доношений хлопчик масою 3400 г; довжина тіла 52 см; за шкалою Апгар 8-9 балів; ускладнень під час операції не було, загальна крововтрата склала 350,0 мл. Перебіг післяпологового періоду також без ускладнень.
