From March 16 to 21, 2024, with the support of the international charitable organization MedGlobal, on the basis of the Center for Simulation Technologies of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, instructors of the American Heart Association conducted six-day trainings in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to improve the practical skills of Ukrainian doctors.

This project is the second stage of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine's project aimed at increasing the number of certified instructors in accordance with emergency medical care standards.

A number of teachers, including the entire Department of Emergency Medicine, were trained by these instructors. Familiarization with the American Heart Association's emergency medical care standards and practicing practical scenarios within the BLS, ACLS and PALS protocols will allow to introduce this information and methodology of teaching practical skills into the educational process of the Department of Emergency Medicine and place a new emphasis on the practical aspects of providing emergency medical care to patients.
