Oleh Shekera, an Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine, an Honored Doctor of Ukraine, and a Professor in the Department of Palliative and Hospice Medicine at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine was formally awarded the Badge of Honor by the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (NAMSU). This badge features an image of Agapit Pechersky.

On October 28, 2024, the President of NAMSU, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and NAMSU, and prominent neurosurgeon Vitaliy Tsymbalyuk personally presented him with the Badge of Honor.
