On March 1, an online meeting was held, organized by the Department of Cardiology at  Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, aimed at discussing the latest advances in medicine and innovative methods for treating cardiovascular diseases in comorbid conditions. This meeting serves as an important platform for the interaction of physicians from various specialties, facilitating knowledge exchange and the implementation of new approaches in medical practice. 

The training began with a lecture by DM, Professor Ihor Berezniakov: "Modern concepts of proteinuria, nephrotic syndrome, and pharmacological correction possibilities." The professor highlighted key aspects of edema management, emphasizing the importance and specific considerations in prescribing diuretics.

The meeting continued with a presentation by DM, Professor Tetiana Kolesnyk. Her report focused on the use of antihypertensive drugs and the prospects for reducing cardiovascular risk. Is there an ideal antihypertensive therapy?  The answer was sought within modern international guidelines.  

DM, Professor Maryna Dolzhenko, head of the Department of Cardiology at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, conducted a master class: "Balancing the efficacy and safety of DOACs in patients with atrial fibrillation." Special attention was given to the issue of anticoagulant prescription in patients with an increased risk of bleeding.
