On March 18-19, 2019, the Assoc. Prof. of Department of Oncology in the Shupyk NMAPE Ponomaryova O. V., MD, PhD took part in a regular European Summit of the Society of Clinical Research Facilities (Sites), which was held in London, UK. Since 2006, the European Summit of the Society of Clinical Research Facilities (Sites) focuses on improving of effectiveness in research on various health-related issues, as well as on the growth of the contribution for groups, taking part in international clinical trials in frames of the research enterprises.
Nowadays the Summit, as the annual meeting of the Society of Clinical Research Facilities (Sites), have provided the leaders of clinical research sites, sponsors, and supplier organizations with an opportunity to meet, to promote the innovations, networking, and better results within clinical trials.
The summit have had offered the unique opportunity for a limited number of participants from sites and industry to come together on weekends for sharing of the best practices and to build the partnerships. Through a survey-based, reliable data, participants have learned more about the links between sites and different industries. With new training laboratories, new strategies for directing patients to the research sites, the possibilities to communicate with the world-class experts in the field of clinical research, the Summit have served the best for all structures that work together to improve their organization.
Over the past 13 years the Summit has facilitated the meetings of representatives of clinical sites with all participants in organization of a clinical trial. The Summit have confirmed once more, that it constitutes the unique center, where sites, sponsors, CRO executives and regulators meet together to share the best practices, build their businesses and develop new partnerships through debates, ideals, seminars and the focus groups.
Today the management of Society for Clinical Research Facilities (Sites) is confident of paramount importance to raise the awareness in a process of the clinical research program development in all interested participants of trials. The improvement of their work orchestrated performance would inevitably enhance the level of the trials accomplishment. So on, such regular specialized meetings would succeed in the sites cooperation in their clinical research and mutual understanding with principal impacting industries involved. This Conference have served a lot to achieve a greater efficiency and profitability in fruitful cooperation, and also to fulfill successfully our main obligation - to facilitate the rapid and safe implementation of the innovative medical treatment technologies into clinical practice for patients with complex clinical problems.
