On the June 12-16, 2019 the IX European pediatrics congress “Europaediatrics-2019” took place in Dublin (Ireland). Doctors and scientists from more than 46 countries were participated there, including Ukrainians. The Congress is conducting every two years by the European Pediatric Association / Union of the National European pediatric societies and Associations (EPA / UNEPSA).

Ukrainian delegation was represented by the scientists from the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education and five leading medical universities of the country.

In the introductory speech the President of the IX European pediatrics congress, Prof. Ellen Crushell emphasized, that in accordance with the United Nations millennium development goals, the most important in the world is the preservation of the population health, which requires the implementation of international preventive strategies and the improvement of medical care for the children and adolescents by the methods of evidence-based medicine.

The Head of the department of Child and Adolescent Diseases, Prof. Galyna V. Beketova in the co-authorship with the leading scientists from Ukraine represented two oral reports about the  Ukrainian children health and the implementation of the evidence-based phytotherapy as a method of physiological treatment of the acute rhinosinusitis in children and adolescents.

IX European pediatrics congress-2019 was held on the high level and gave the opportunity to the doctors and scientists to establish new relations with foreign colleagues.
