Congratulations to Yevhen Kolesnikov, Professor of the Department of General and Emergency Surgery, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine with the Order of Pride of the Nation and Diploma for active public position, significant contribution to the development and prosperity of the state, conscientious work, high indomitable patriotism, love for Ukraine and the creation of its positive image in the world.                                           

Yevhen Borysovych is a world-renowned scientist. He was recently awarded the title of "Scientist of the Year 2020" for a series of scientific papers in the development of new mini-invasive methods of surgical treatment of morbid obesity, which became the "gold standard" in bariatric surgery and innovative research in collaboration with prominent Ukrainian chemists and pharmacologists about the role of cytokines in the occurrence of destructive pancreatitis, the creation of inhibitors and methods of laparoscopic delivery it to the pancreas. These were pioneering works in the world.                                                                        

Special results have been achieved in the treatment of the most severe surgical patients with intestinal and bile ducts obstruction with liver failure, peritonitis, sepsis and the introduction into clinical practice of sorption detoxification, regional perfusion of organs and the development of devices, sorbents and methods of their use. As a scientist, surgeon-innovator Yevhen Kolesnikov also developed and implemented in the clinic: low-frequency laser technologies for the treatment of surgical patients; cryosurgical devices and methods of treatment of malignant neoplasms of the liver and pancreas; methods of treatment of surgical and oncological diseases with the use of stem cells; new methods of surgical correction of the face and body after weight loss. All these works have significantly reduced the number of postoperative complications and patient mortality and have been appreciated by the domestic and international medical community.                                                                                                                 

Yevhen Kolesnikov Member of the Association of Postgraduate Education of Harvard University (USA), Vice President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Laureate of the International College of Surgeons (USA) and Academician of Ukraine Sciences (IMSA) and many others.
