The staff members carry out the diagnostic and medical measures including emergency, plastic, elective surgery and traumatology at the clinical bases and casualty units (200 beds in the total number) of City Clinical Children’s Hospital No. 1 and City Clinical Children’s Hospital No. 2, render the counselling service at the Ukrainian Medical Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Organic Disorders of the Nervous System, polyclinics of Kyiv and Kyiv region, visit the patient care institutions of Ukraine by air medical service.
In 2008-2010 the Head of the department Full Professor O. A. Danylov, Full Professor V. F. Rybalchenko, senior laboratory assistant Yu. L. Dushkevych gave the charitable highly qualified assistance to the child and adult population of Yahotyn district of Kyiv region. They were awarded the honorary diplomas of Yahotyn District State Administration, the Council of People's Deputies of Kyiv region and the Minister of Health of Ukraine.
In 2012 the staff members performed 520 surgical interventions.

- Congenital intestinal diseases surgery.
- Emergency surgery.
- Congenital musculoskeletal diseases surgery.
- Surgery of deformed limbs in children with cerebral spastic infantile paralysis and organic lesions of the central and peripheral nervous system.
