Student of Professor Samoteikin MA In 1994, he defended his doctoral dissertation "Structural changes in the hemocycler circulation of myocardium in the process of age-related adaptation and heart disease," Doctor of Medical Sciences (1994), Professor of the Department of Pathological and Topographic Anatomy (1999).

Irkin Igor Vasilyevich is an experienced teacher, a doctor of the highest category.

He is the author of 145 scientific papers, 9 patents, including 7 teaching aids. Scientific direction - actual issues of general pathological anatomy, morphology of cardiovascular diseases, vessels of the lower extremities and cerebral disorders. Under his guidance, 15 candidate dissertations were completed.
