The department carries out diagnostic and advisory work in basic departments (Communal institution of Kiev Oblast Council "Kyiv Oblast Clinical Hospital", Kyiv Oblast Clinical Dispensary, national medical specialist Hospital "OHMATDYT", medical diagnostic institution of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Central Pathological Anatomy Laboratory", National Cancer Institute).

The department has an agreement on advisory work with many medical institutions of various profiles, including private ones of Kyiv and Ukraine.

The staff of the department are consultants of the Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination (Kyiv Oblast, Kyiv City and Main).
