Volodymyr D. Mishalov, Headof the Department of Forensic Medicine (2006), MD, Dr. Sc., Full Professor, of the highest qualification grade.

In 1982 he graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Institute, the Faculty of Medicine.

He has been Full Professor (since 2005), and the head of the Department of Forensic Medicine (since 2006). In 1994 he defended his doctorate thesis.   

The Chairman of the Dissertation Review Committee in Forensic Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Forensic Medicine, the Chairman of the MD, PhD Specialized Scientific Board (К 26.613.03) in Forensic Medicine - 14.01.25 and Traumatology and Orthopaedics - 14.01.21; the Editor-inChief of the specialized journal “Sudovo-Medychna Ekspertyza” (Forensic Medical Examination), Executive Secretary of the Association of Forensic Experts of Ukraine.

Awards: the Honorary Diplomas of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, medals for the participation in the international exhibitions of inventions, engineering and research; the Decoration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “For Contribution in Counteracting Offence among Children”, the Honorary Diploma of the International Police Association (Ukrainian Section) “For Bravery and Professionalism”.

Author of 200 published works, including 1 text-book, 7 manuals, 2 monographs, 6 patents, 11 methodical recommendations.
