Member of the Scientific Council for Theoretic and Preventive Medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, member of the Council of the State Fund for Fundamental Investigations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Deputy Editor of 1 and member of 6 scientific specialized journals, member of 5 international societies and associations, Vice-President of 2 and board member of 3 All-Ukrainian specialized associations. 

Awarded the Honored Certificate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Honored Certificates of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Highly Qualified Expert in Medical Genetics. In 2003-2012 was Chief Freelance Expert in Medical Genetics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. 

Was the first one to initiate innovations in the development of medical genetics in Ukraine, in particular, pharmacogenetics, determining the degree of the genetic conditionality of congenital cardiac and vascular diseases, multifactorial pathologies (bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive lung diseases, atopic dermatitis, hypertonic diseases, coronary heart disease, critical states in newborns), to develop the individual treatment and prevention regimen of the diseases.

Has worked at the department since 1998, Laboratory Geneticist of the 1st Category. 

Area of Expertise: the predictive value of molecular genetic markers revealing multifactorial pathology risk.

Larysa P. SHEYKO, MD, PhD (1998), Associate Professor (2011), Medical Geneticist of the Highest Category

Author of over 60 published papers.

Area of Expertise:

-  clinical genealogical analysis importance  for predicting the development of multifactorial familial pathology;

-  modern diagnostic techniques and possible treatment of  common hereditary diseases in Ukraine (cystic fibrosis, phenyl ketonuria, hypotheriosis, etc).

 

EVSEENKOVA Olena G., MD, PhD, biology (2008);

Has worked at the department since 1995.

In 2007-2009 participated in the International Program of Distant Education “Methods in Medical Diagnostics”. In 2009 defended Master's Thesis “The role of genetic investigation and genetic counseling in prevention of chromosomal pathology” in Orebro University (Switzerland) and got the Diploma of Master of Medicine.

Author of over 60 published papers.

Area of Expertise: cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic diagnostic techniques for detecting chromosomal pathology in patients suspected of chromosomal pathology and patients with reproductive disorders.

BRISHEVAC Ljudmila I., Assistant Professor of the Department, Medical Geneticist of the Highest Category;

Has been working at the department since 1995.

Area of Expertise: prenatal diagnosis of hereditary diseases, offering medical genetic consultation.
