The treatment-and-consultation work is carried out in five base units of the department at Kyiv City Clinical Psychoneurology Hospital No. 1. Full Professor of the department V. M. Kuznetsov is a consulting physician of the health care association under the Cabinet of Ministers and the Republican Polyclinic “OKHMATDYT”, the chief editor of the journal "Mental Health". The staff members give consultations to patients in the psychiatric institutions of Kyiv and Kyiv region, including air medical service.
