On March 30, the Department of Oncology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine held a face-to-face and distance learning intermediate training seminar on the "Oncology and Gynecology" specialization cycle. The listeners of the cycle were presented with a choice of topics from the academic discipline, according to which they prepared presentations.

The moderators of the event were the head of the oncology department, professor Prokip Gordiychuk; curators of educational groups – professor of the department, doctor of medical sciences Nataliya Tsip and associate professor of the department, candidate of medical sciences Olena Manzhura; professor of the department Valery Zakarychev.

At the beginning of the seminar, the moderators made an opening speech, who emphasized the need and relevance of holding such an event as an intermediate control of knowledge, which was started in all cycles during the last three years and is held under the motto "learn – report – analyze – discuss". This method of control has proven its effectiveness.

Statistical results of the International Organization for the Study of Cancer indicate that oncogynecological pathology is increasing, therefore the issues of early diagnosis, prevention and treatment are extremely relevant.

At the seminar, 24 presentations were presented, after which reports were made in the lecture hall of the Oncology Department and broadcast on the ZOOM network. Thus, students of other specialties, who are currently studying at the department, were also able to participate in the seminar. A total of 78 trainees from the specialties "Oncology", "Clinical Oncology", "Endoscopy" and trainees who study according to an individual plan joined the seminar.

Highly qualified moderators in the field of oncogynecological pathology - Professor Nataliya Tsip and Associate Professor Olena Manzhura - after each report briefly characterized the problem, focused attention on conceptual issues and requirements of international protocols that currently exist.

The held seminar testified to the high level of training of trainees in the "Oncogynecology" specialization cycle, their desire to find and use advanced knowledge and technologies in practice. In addition, the seminar demonstrated their deep understanding of problems and knowledge of modern international protocols for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients with oncological pathology.
