On November 6, 2023 under support of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, All-Ukrainian Association of Continuing Professional Education of Doctors and Pharmacists, profile associations of surgeons and anesthesiologists of Ukraine, was held regular scientific-practical professional school-seminar " Interdisciplinary Alliance: Surgery and Anesthesiology ".

The moderation of this expert class event was entrusted to the head of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine - professor Savoliuk S.

Topics of the event included reviews of modern consensus documents on perioperative analgesia strategies and the degree of its adequacy in the context of enhanced recovery after surgery, treatment and prevention of acute and chronic pain, current recommendations for the treatment of obliterative atherosclerosis of the lower extremities, antibiotic resistance and ways of its prevention and intensive care of emergencies in surgery and anesthesiology.

There were presented interesting practical cases of simultaneous interventions in antireflux, bariatric, colorectal surgery and multidisciplinary surgery of infiltrative retrocervical endometriosis in the context of implementation of ERAS protocols, one-time operative treatment of the combined pathology of the organs of the abdominal cavity, retroperitoneal space and pelvis, which is one of the scientific and practical directions of the work of the team of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery and its clinic.

 Invited experts were employees of National Cancer Institute, Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology named, Bogomolets National Medical University, Dnipro State Medical University, Lviv National Medical University.

Professional discussion, a large number of questions, expert opinions of specialized specialists made the event interesting and full of useful, relevant information.
