On May 16-18, 2024, the largest specialized vascular event of Ukraine took place in Lviv - the annual congress of vascular surgeons, phlebologists and angiologists of Ukraine - Sukharev Readings - 2024.

The conference brought together representatives of the specialized surgical community of Ukraine to discuss current issues of modern surgery of main and peripheral arteries, venous and lymphatic system and diabetic foot syndrome, ulcerative defects of the lower extremities of various etiologies.

Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine was powerfully represented at this event by a delegation of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery headed by the head of the department, Professor Serhiy Savoliuk, Professor Valentyn Hodos, PhD Vladyslav Gorbovets, PhD Andriy Dembytskyi, a post-graduate student of the department, Glib Melnychuk.

This year, the largest gathering of the vascular community of Ukraine took place on the holiday Vyshyvanka Day, which is a symbol of our national identity, patriotism and unity.

As part of the scientific program of plenary sessions and scientific discussions during master classes and round tables, the scientific priority, innovativeness of practical work and the vast experience of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery in the application and introduction of minimally invasive endovenous (thermo-ablation) methods, in particular the technology of endovenous electric welding technology, in the treatment of chronic diseases of the veins of the lower extremities, which was evidenced by the lively discussion among the audience and speakers and the high evaluation of the scientific and practical activities of the staff of the department of our university by the participants of the forum .
