The beginning of the II half of the 2024 academic year was marked for the staff of the oncology department by the continuation of intensive educational work, new tasks in scientific, organizational, clinical and educational work, which at the Shupyk NHCU of Ukraine sets before each structural unit.

According to the curriculum, in September 2024, cycles of specialization began at the Department of Oncology in the following specialties: "Clinical Oncology" (9 months), "Oncosurgery" (4 months), "Oncogynecology" (4 months) and "Endoscopy" (3 months). 84 trainees began training: 28 trainees under a budget order, 44 trainees on the basis of paid educational services and 12 trainees under an individual training plan.

The head of the oncology department, Professor Prokip Hordiychuk, and the curators of the cycles held an introductory seminar: they congratulated the students on the start of their studies, introduced the participants to the clinical training facilities (CNP "Kyiv City Clinical Oncology Center", DNP "National Cancer Institute", CNP "Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital", KNP "Kyiv City Clinical Endocrinological Center"), familiarized with their structure, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment in the specified bases. The head of the department introduced the curators of cycles, teaching and support staff of the department. He emphasized the importance of not only theoretical, but also practical training of young specialists. Curators of the cycles provided those present with the schedule of lectures, the schedule of adjacent cycles, told about the rights and responsibilities of the listeners, conducted an instruction on safety techniques and on the actions of the listeners during the announcement of an air alert.
