On May 18-25, 2019 in Ternopil on the basis of the University Hospital, 23 training courses " Trauma Life Support " organized by the PO "Patriot Defence" with the participation of foreign and domestic instructors, among them the associate professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the NMAPE named after P. L. Shupik Inna Kuchynska, was held.

For effective treatment of injured, it is important to know and apply modern diagnostic and intensive care methods in an urgent manner, to work in close contact with doctors of other specialties, to constantly improve their professional level. Therefore, the cooperation of medical workers of the pre-hospital and hospital stages becomes especially relevant. 24 doctors from Ternopil and other regions of Ukraine – anaesthesiologists, traumatologists, surgeons – studied speaking cooperation and teamwork in a single algorithm for the treatment of polytrauma patients at the first hour in the hospital.

During the 6-day course, the participants strengthened their basic knowledge, mastered clear algorithms and new approaches in the management of injured patients, acquired new practical skills, learned how to focus on effective communication and teamwork. During the final practical examination (simulation of massive polytrauma with a large number of injuries) the intern-anaesthetist of the 2nd year of study, Mukovoz Bogdan (curator – associate professor of the Department of Anaesthesiology and IT Yuri Markov) was recognized as the most remarkable participant in performing practical skills. The staff of the department with its head Professor Oleg Loskutov sincerely congratulate the winner and welcome students’ achievements.
