The Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care participated in the annual scientific and practical congress "Euroanaesthesia 2019" which took place in Vienna (Austria) in the beginning of June.

This forum is the largest scientific event organized by the European Society for Anaesthesiology (ESA) with almost 7,000 delegates from more than 90 countries.

The most famous experts in fields of anaesthesia, emergency medicine and pain management presented their lectures and reports during the congress.

Delegates were given the opportunity to participate in discussions with experts on key issues, exchange contacts with colleagues from other countries with the perspective of further scientific and research work, improve their practical skills with the help of new tools and equipment, and get acquainted with new areas in anaesthesia and intensive care.

Employees of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk NMAPE presented a great number of reports which was the largest from all the reports of Ukrainian scientific and educational institutions.

The reports were presented by the staff of the department: Oleg Loskutov, MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor; Inna Kuchynska, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor; Dmytro Dziuba, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor; Oleksandr Druzhyna, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor and postgraduates: Taisia Danchyna, MD (winner of the Competition of Young Scientists of the Association of Anaesthesiologists of Ukraine); Volodymyr Martsiniv, MD; Volodymyr Kolesnikov, MD and сlinical resident Evgen Sulimenko, MD.

All reports represented by the stuff of the Department were highly qualified and had a great resonance among the moderators. The reports were widely discussed by the delegates.

The report of Dmytro Dziuba had a particular interest among the members of ESA Trainees Committee. Dmytro Dziuba shared the experience in organizing the Scientific Conference for Young Anaesthesiologists and ICU-practitioners and Simulation Olympiad (competition in simulation medicine) in Ukraine.

Participation in this congress undoubtedly enriched the department’s staff experience of international performances and became another step in popularizing the achievements of Ukrainian science in the field of anaesthesiology and intensive care.
