Every year passed suggested that we acquire new knowledge, develop general and professional skills, deal with the ups and downs, our life is not very good, yet not bad, to make short of long, we gain our personal experience, and it is always effective!

For our Department, the year gone by was epochal and all the major events of the year of 2019 were covered in depth by our staff members, who dealt with numerous news, the Academy's documents, orders etc.
Thus, the events happened at the Department were as follows:
– the "Ukrainian For Business Communication" course for NMAPE's academic staff was rolled out. It suggested the trainees acquire a basic vocabulary, the narrative and stylistic structures of medical language, avoid the most common mistakes in business speech;
– the "Professional Ukrainian in Use" course for master's degree holders was created with a view of validating the attendees' Ukrainian language level, managing their paperwork more efficiently and enhancing their communication skills.
The both courses are conducted by the Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, longtime expert, Oliynyk Iryna Yu.
– the "Fundamentals of Science Communication in a Foreign Language" course for master's degree holders was created to develop and enhance conversation skills, using speech patterns and functional vocabulary, to build communicative competencies necessary for effective communication in a professional medical environment.
The Head of the Department, Associate Professor Lada Yu. Lichman, was re-elected on a competitive basis, thus the staff members charted a course of further activities, e. g. proposals on optimizing the cost of educational service delivery for those who enter a PhD program.
We do not get to choose how we start out in life. We do not get to choose the day we are born or the family we are born into, what we are named at birth, what country we are born in, and we do not get to choose our ancestry. All these things are predetermined by a higher power. By the time you are old enough to start making decisions for yourself, a lot of things in your life are already in place.
