The workshop was carried out by Yulia Karpenko, highly experienced representative of the Dinternal Education International Training Centre, who is absolutely hipped on PTE General testing Pearson. The teachers of the Department and our learners were invited to participate in that session.

Being widely accepted by universities, colleges and governments around the world, PTE General has been top-ranked for study applications by thousands of academic programs. It is also approved for all Australian and New Zealand student visa and migration applications. They have a wide range of ELT resources to help the learners develop their language skills.

PTE General is fast, flexible, computer-based academic English language test aimed at non-native English speakers wanting to study abroad. The test consists of two parts: a written paper and a spoken test.

It tests Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. There are six levels which are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. PTE General is a multi-level test, like IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC.

Questions often test 2 skills together, such as listening and reading or reading and speaking. The whole test is done in a single session, lasting 3 hours and is taken sitting at a computer in a secure test environment. The speaking part of the exam is done at the computer. Your voice is recorded and sent for marking. PTE General are theme-based exams designed to test how well a learner can communicate in authentic and realistic situations. The test uses real-life material and tasks, such as writing messages, understanding talks and newspaper articles, or participating in conversation.

As a PTE General certificate does not expire, to collect it can be a successful "Investment Project" into the future of Ukraine.
