The international program "SCIENTIST OF THE YEAR 2020" was held before the International Science Day in order to promote the image and support of scientists who receive significant scientific and  technical results. The results of the work of scientists who contribute to the significant development of the field in which they work were evaluated.ть.

On November 20, 2020, the professional achievements of the scientific elite of Ukraine were celebrated and honored with the presentation of honorary medals, certificates, diplomas and the book "Scientific Elite of Ukraine".

We are proud to announce that the title of "Scientist of the Year 2020" was awarded to an employee of our academy, professor of general and emergency surgery department, doctor of medical sciences, professor, 

Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, academician of the International Academy of Medical Sciences KOLESNIKOV Evgeni Borysovych for the cycle of scientific works in the field of development  new mini-invasive methods of surgical treatment of morbid obesity, which have become the "gold standard" in bariatric surgery and pioneering research on the role of cytokines in the pathogenesis of destructive pancreatitis, the development of inhibitory gel and methods of laparoscopic delivery it to the pancreas.

Scientific work at the department is carried out under the guidance of the head of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of Ukraine V.V. Kryzhevsky, where the achievements of individual employees are the achievements of the entire team.
