On June 18, 2021 the final certification of interns of the third year of studying took place at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine (head of the Department — Professor S. Savoliuk).

All interns (19) had completed the full curriculum (lectures, seminars, practical classes in the main specialty and cycles of related disciplines) and had submitted individual documentation (essays (2), characteristics from the bases of correspondence internships, digital and text reports on the amount of work performed in full-time and part-time cycles of internship, diaries, individual training plans, protocols for registration of practical skills and abilities) before they were admitted to the certification.

During the attestation, which took place in compliance with all quarantine and anti-epidemic requirements, interns showed a high level of theoretical knowledge in basic disciplines, as well as in professional training and related specialties. 

The interns demonstrated sufficient level of mastery in basic practical skills and abilities (including modern laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical treatment and diagnostic technologies). 

At the end of the exam, S. Savoliuk (Professor, head of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine) emphasized on the need for continuous further improvement of their professional level, the application of minimally invasive modern surgical technologies and the growth of professional skills in places of future employment according to the new provisions for continuous professional development of physicians.
