As a part of the events, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Ukraine Independence, on October 12-13th, 2021, the R. E. Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine had hosted a scientific-practical conference for young scientists, named "Modern Oncology: From Basic Research to New Therapeutic Approaches ”.
The conference program had included the educational and practical master classes on modern methods of molecular biological research. In addition, the oral and poster presentations on the following scientific areas were presented: molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, genome and epigenome of the tumour cells, features of the tumour metabolism, as well as the problems and prospects of modern methods in antitumoural therapy.
The students, graduate students and young scientists, whose research interests include the field of basic and clinical cancer research, the search and implementation of a new approaches to diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms, rehabilitation of oncological patients, were invited to participate in the Conference. Free listeners of this event were the doctors-interns of the Department of Oncology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
The head of the group of the first year of study doctors-interns Yulia Novytska had prepared the oral report on "Allogeneic CAR T-cell therapy: prospects, advantages and disadvantages." The young scientist had made the report about an innovative method for the oncohematological diseases treatment, acquainting the audience with the results of recent international trials and studies. Because the report was positively evaluated by the reviewer, so within the next month its publication is expected among the Conference abstracts in the journal "Oncology" (https://www.oncology.kiev.ua).
