On December, 12 a delegation from the USA visited Shupyk NMAPE.  The delegation included:  Professor Boris Lushniak (Rear Admiral retired, Dean of School of Public Health, University of Maryland), Professor Danylo Grigorchuk (the University of Illinois at Chicago) and Oleksandr Zvinchuk, coordinator of Ukrainian-American cooperation.

At the beginning of December the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Foreign Students Research & Training, Professor Olesya Hulchiy and the Acting Chief of International Department, Associate Professor, Dr. Rami Abu Shamsieh visited the embassy of Palestine to Ukraine by the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Dr. Mohammed Qasem Assad Alassad.

Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education has recently launched a joint project with the British Medical Journal (BMJ). Due to the agreements reached, specialists can get free access to modern scientific databases.

On October 31, a training session entitled “Evidence-Based Medicine. Research Training” was held at NMAPE in the context of cooperation with the Karolinska Institute. Over 120 academic staff members, postgraduate students, including the students of thematic advanced training course “Public Health in Ukraine: Development Strategies” from all regions of our country attended the event.

On October 24, 2017, a meeting with foreign students was held at the Academy. The foreword was delivered by the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Scientific and Pedagogical Work with Foreign Students, Prof. Olesya Hulchiy, who informed the audience on the current state of Academy`s international activities and available opportunities for academic mobility, provided with the assistance of the international department.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Ukraine Dr. Mohammed Alasaad met the representatives of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education: Director of Kyiv City Heart Center, Head of Cardiology Department, Professor Borys Todurov and  Acting  Chief of the International Department, Associate Professor, Dr. Rami Abu Shamsieh.
