  • Department of Neurology No.2 has conducted the conference

    The last edition of IMF, International Medical Forum was held in Kyiv from 25 May to 27 May 2021. It takes place annually and its goal is to create an interdisciplinary platform for constructive dialogue between researchers, practitioners,  manufacturers, suppliers, and users of medical technology.

  • The conference was organized by the Department of Neurology No.2

    On 25th – 27th of May 2021 the conference “Modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment neurological disorders” took place as a part of annually holding IMF, International Medical Forum. The conference was organized by the Department of Neurology No.2 of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.

  • Cerebrovascular diseases gathered conference

    The XXII international scientific practical conference “Multimodal mechanisms of prevention, pathogenesis and management of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases” took place on the April 21—23, 2021. The topic of the conference was devoted to the problems of the management of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases, such as stroke, arterial hypertension, degenerative diseases of the nervous system.

  • The Nervous System – Kidneys Relationship Investigation

    At the Department of Neurology No. 2, headed by Full Professor Olena Tkachenko, the investigations concerning the nervous system state under somatic pathology, in particular the kidneys, are under way. The investigations concerning the nervous system stat in renal pathology in patients with neuromuscular diseases, in particular, have been carried out by PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor Oksana Kononets and extramural post-graduate student Tymur Karaiev.

    The world medical scientific community is gradually accumulating data on how certain organs and systems of the human body respond to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The primary well-known symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, dry cough, and fatigue. However, many of the symptoms experienced by people infected with SARS-CoV-2 involve the nervous system, and, in some cases, they can be the only symptoms at presentation.

    2 November 2020, Kononets Oksana M., Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology No. 2, was awarded the Knowledge, Heart and Soul Dedicated to People Medal by the Ukrainian Citizen Group "KRAINA" for her diligent work and charity, daily work that saves lives, for the thorough professional expertise, for the heart and soul, put into each patient (Order No. 11, dated 2 November 2020).

  • Taking Part in the International Scientific Practical Conference

    The staff members of the Department of Neurology No. 2 pursue their activities at carrying out research. Every year we participate in symposia, workshops, fora, etc.

  • The Importance of Being Flagship in Neurology

    The Department of Neurology No. 2 of NMAPE is engaged in research to global standards, through teaching courses, writing papers, taking part in international conferences and forums.
