Infusion-transfusion therapy is one of the main elements in the treatment of patients with critical conditions. The Department of Paediatric Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine held a one-day professional seminar on "Infusion and transfusion therapy for critical ill children." The seminar took place on April 28, 2022 in a remote format on the GoToMeeting platform.

Among the activities of volunteer work, the Department of Oncology held five master classes during the week to practice skills of providing medical care at the pre-hospital stage during hostilities. More than 30 territorial defense fighters took part in each of the events, led by the head of the department, Professor Prokip Gordiichuk, and a full-time graduate student of the department Mykola Gordiichuk.

On April 26, 2022, a one-day professional seminar on "Intensive care of traumatic hypovolemic shock in children" was held. The seminar was organized by the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. About 20 participants took part in the seminar. The topics of the seminar covered issues related to blood loss due to trauma, polytrauma and injuries.

The professional seminar «Anesthesia in primary surgical treatment of wounds» was held on March 31 and on April 14, 2022 by the Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.

From the first days of russian invasion on the territory of Ukraine, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine actively and decisively took a part in the management and organization of surgical treatment at clinical bases of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
