Department of Pediatrics-2 has an educational mandate to train the next generation of health professionals in following specialties:

• Pediatrics;
• Pediatric cardiorheumatology;
• General practice - family medicine (as a supporting department);

The following training programs are performed at the department:

- Internship in specialties: «Pediatrics» (2 years of training), «General practice - family medicine» (providing educational support for the Department of Family Medicine during 1^st and 2^nd years of training), «Emergency medicine» (providing educational support for the Department of Emergency Medicine)

- Specialty for doctors –  to obtain an additional specialty: «Pediatrics» (3 or 5 months), «Pediatric cardiorheumatology» (2 months), «General practice - family medicine» (as a supporting department, 1 month);

- Training program for doctors before professional certification –  «Pediatrics» (1 month), «Pediatric cardiorheumatology» (1 month), «General practice - family medicine» (as a supporting department, 1 month);

- Special training for doctors – «Pediatrics» (1 month), «Pediatric cardiorheumatology» (1 month), «General practice - family medicine» (as a supporting department, 1 month);

- Theme-based advanced training for specialists – lasting 1, 2, or 4 weeks, including on the part-time education form with elements of distance learning.
