Employees of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care took an active part in the work of the commissions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine that checked Ukrainian health care institutions on readiness to provide medical care to patients with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 28.03.2020 No. 722 "Organization of medical care to patients with coronavirus disease (COVID-19)" (as amended).

In September 2021, the School of Medicine Universidad Complutense in Madrid (Spain) hosted a three-week training course of the European School of Microsurgery - "Microsurgical reconstruction with free flaps".

An important and grandiose event took place in the life of the oncological community of Ukraine: in honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Cancer Institute at the NSC "Olympic" in September 30 to October 2, 2021 the "XIV Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Ukraine" was held.

The organizers of the XIV Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Ukraine, the Association of Oncologists of Ukraine invited the Department of Oncology of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine to take an active part in the round table of heads, heads of oncology departments of higher educational medical institutions of undergraduate and postgraduate education. The round table considered the problems of the educational process in the training of specialists in the specialty "Oncology".

On September 21-22, the Fairmont Grand Hotel hosted a scientific-practical conference on plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery "Gain 2021 Face to Face". On behalf of the Department of General and Emergency Surgery (Head of the Department Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.V. Kryzhevsky) of our university, the conference was attended by a graduate student of the department, plastic surgeon Anastasia Ignatieva and intern-doctor Yurchyshyn Sofia.

The COVID-19 virus, due to its global spread, has not only changed our world but also put us in urgent need to solve a whole range of extremely complex problems related to continuing postgraduate education. That is why during the global lockdown and quarantine, online conferences have gained a completely new level of significance for professional communication and knowledge exchange.
