Associate Professor of the Department of Oncology Cand. Med. Sc. Olga Ponomaryova  attended the fifth meeting of the ESMO Asian Congress - ESMO Asia 2019, held in Singapore from November 22 to 24, 2019. This event brings together the most experienced international experts to present a comprehensive, regional approach to multidisciplinary oncology.

Presentations are now a common feature of working life. To give presentations in English is a real challenge for non-native speakers. The Department of Foreign Languages of NMAPE provides language training for teaching & research staff.

The Environment and Ecology do often go hand in hand. Oxford dictionary has named “climate emergency” as its 2019 Word of the Year, choosing it from the all-environmental shortlist. This phase is defined as a situation in which urgent, action is required to reduce or halt climate change and avoid potentially irreversible environmental damage.

Since 2016, the Department of Foreign Languages has been conducting the “Upper Intermediate English” course for PhD students of the Academy. The classes are given by Assistant Professors L. Palei, L. Mykhailenko and T. Pylyp. The teachers apply various techniques which make it possible the lessons both to enhance theoretical knowledge and activate practical language skills. The course content is outfitted with modern learning technologies as they wield major influence on learning outcomes.

On December, 12 in Kiev the last meeting of this year of the Club of Endocrine Innovations took place in Kyiv. Other prior meetings of the Club took place this autumn in Zaporozhye, Kharkiv, Lviv and Odessa and all of them were attended by more than 100 participants. The Club is organized by the Department of Diabetology of P.L.Shupyk National Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education and Ukranian Diabetology Association.
