An important component of the continuing professional training of physicians is the participation in lecture days and seminars, which discuss the latest recommendations of current international guidelines.

Postgraduate medical education is a part of continuing education in the field of medicine and involves both continuous improvement of theoretical knowledge and continuous professional development of practical skills.

To this end, a variety of training programs have been developed and are successfully applied in practice, consisting of clinical classes, theoretical training, systematic assessment of the effectiveness of the learning process, and student learning.

Associate-Professor Candidate of Medical Sciences Olga Ponomaryova have attended on November, 2-5, 2019, the yearly event – the European Oncogynecological Congress, which was held in Athens (Greece) casually under supervision of ESGO – European Society of Oncogynecologists. The Congress have had prominent trend in multidisciplinary agenda and ideology. Leading scientist from all over the world, and from Europe especially, have devoted their communications and lectures to modern algorithms of diagnosis and treatment of oncogynecological patients.

XI Scientific-Practical Conference with International Participance “Days of arrhythmology in Kyiv” took place on November 21-22, 2019 in the Institute of Heart, Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine. It was an extraordinary event for cardiologists, arrhythmologists, cardiac surgeons, teachers and fellows of our Academy. The aim of the yearly arrhythmologic forum is to improve knowledge of the physicians regarding contemporary diagnosis and interventional treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. More than 350 physicians from all-over Ukraine have been registered for the conference.

Today, the need to find new effective and attractive forms of youth engaging in scientific and practical activity becomes especially urgent. According to I.S. Alatortseva "... The participation of students in scientific work is the driving force of their involvement in the process of creation of material and spiritual values, and ultimately contributes to the development and realization of the innovative potential of the young generation."

On November 4-6, 2019, on the invitation of former students of the program cycle of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery (head of the department - professor Savoliuk S.I.) "Modern Minimally Invasive Methods in Phlebology", a thematic workshop was conducted on the basis of the vascular department of the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital. The workshop was dedicated on the application of endovenous biowelding technology in minimally invasive surgery for varicose veins of the lower extremities and its complications.
