Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of NMAPE named after PL Shupyk continues to involve experienced specialists in the educational process, not only in the anesthetic profile, but also in other areas of medicine.

Recently, the problem of defects in the provision of medical care has become increasingly urgent. The number of cases concerning claims of patients to health care facilities, so-called "medical cases", which are considered by courts every year, is increasing.

The staff of the pediatric department N1 having taken part in the work of a science and practical conference  with the international participation “Complicated patient in the practice of a pediatrician”, didicated to the 60th anniversary of pediatric department N2, 12 March 2019.

Optimization of pedagogical work involves, among other measures, the control of the level of knowledge of listeners. To this end, the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care uses uses different types of knowledge control.

On February 25, 2019, at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (the Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) was finished the programmatic cycle of thematic improvement "Modern Minimal Invasive Techniques in Phlebology"(2 weeks course), which is popular among listeners, as it allows to get acquainted with modern innovative non-invasive methods of surgical treatment of lower extremities varicose veins and its complications, namely: radiofrequency ablation, endovascular laser coagulation and endovenous electric biowelding, sclerotherapy.

The rethinking of approaches in modern medical postgraduate education implies practical implementation of the latest ideas. Among them there is a wide introduction at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care OSCE – an objective structured clinical examination.

From February 27 to March 1, 2019, Tel Aviv (Israel) passed the course "Where the Medical and Radiation Oncology Meet: Integrative State of the Art Strategies" in which the Associate Professor of the Oncology Department of the Shupyk NMAPE PhD, MD Olga Ponomarova and post-graduate student of the Oncology Department of Shupyk NMAPE Anastasiia Samusieva have participated.
