Damage to the nervous system, diabetic neuropathy, is the most common complication of diabetes mellitus, occurring in more than half of patients suffering from this disease. However, many issues of diagnosis and treatment of this complication of diabetes are highly controversial. At the end of November, a 2-day virtual workshop was held with the participation of 10 leading international experts in the field of diabetic neuropathy, such as Professors Andrew Bolton (UK), Dan Ziegler (Germany), Roy Freeman (United States of America) and others.
