World Glaucoma Week is a global health promotion initiative organized by the World Glaucoma Association (WGA) to raise awareness of glaucoma as the leading preventable cause of irreversible blindness worldwide.

The main clinical base of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine (head of the Department - professor Savoliuk S.) is based at Kyiv city clinical hospital №8.  It consists of 2 surgical departments (100 inpatient beds), which accommodate patients with the entire spectrum of elective and urgent surgical pathologies, evacuated wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The classes “English Advanced Course for Medical Professionals”, which started at Department of Philosophy and Foreign Languages of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine  on the 9th of January, is a combination of images and demonstrations, mostly centred on confidence building and talking English.

Learning languages opens up new horizons for everyone interested.

Complex surgical diagnoses require the use of multidisciplinary approaches with a combination of expert specialist surgery and modern evidence-based diagnostics and treatment.

On January 25, 2023, an interdisciplinary panel discussion titled "ERS Vision Live" was held online, dedicated to the topic of "Patient Care in Areas of Conflict".
